Think about a bottle of wine versus a bottle of perfume, a bottle of poison versus a bottle of medicine, the disposable plastic bottle versus the bottle created by the glassblower that is cherished and handed down through generations.
THE ELEMENT OF WATER
The suit of Bottles is where we nurture ourselves and others in the element of water. Bottles give shape to everything that is formless, like consciousness, intuition, emotions, knowledge and memories. By giving these matters temporary form in the suit of Bottles, we are able to contemplate their complexity, significance and power. Bottles allow us to share the healing qualities of water – and exploit its destructive powers. This is the suit of love, nurturing, incubation and meditation.
WHY BOTTLES?
Essentially, our own bodies are bottles temporarily giving shape to the essence that animates us. When we’re bottled up, we’re containing our emotions, and when we’re opened up, we are receptive and free.
